What this tool is — and is not.
OplynQ is a risk analysis platform with an informational and educational purpose. This page sets out the framework in which its results must be read.
Nature of the service
The analyses produced are informational and educational. They do not constitute investment advice, nor a personalised recommendation to buy, sell or hold any asset. No user profile, objective or financial situation is taken into account.
For any real decision, consult a licensed professional (a financial adviser regulated in your jurisdiction).
OplynQ is a decision-support copilot: it provides analyses, probabilities and scenarios — you decide. No buttons and no buy / sell signals: OplynQ never places orders and never has access to your funds. Broker connections (automatic sync) are read-only.
Risk warning
Investing carries a risk of capital loss, up to the entirety of the amounts committed. Market volatility — particularly in crypto-assets and forex — can be high.
Past performance does not predict future performance. No result shown here is a promise of gain.
Epistemic honesty & limits
The product applies one guiding principle: risk before return. Displayed measures are probabilistic, never certain, and presented with their limits. When a data point is missing or a symbol is silent, the app shows “—” and says so — never an invented number, never a silently guessed security match.
Acknowledged limits: risk measures (VaR, Monte-Carlo) rely on simplifying assumptions (often normality of returns, while real tails are fatter); the available history is finite and may not cover certain market regimes; indicators are computed point-in-time to avoid look-ahead bias, but no model predicts the future reliably.
Data sources & licences
Market and macroeconomic data come from third-party providers, used within their free offerings / non-commercial terms: Yahoo Finance (via yfinance), Financial Modeling Prep, CoinGecko, Alpha Vantage, Finnhub (real-time prices), FRED (macro series from the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis), and news feeds (Marketaux, GDELT). Only asset symbols — never your personal data — are sent to these providers.
These data are provided “as is” and may contain errors, delays or gaps. The quality pipeline validates them and flags anomalies without ever filling them in artificially. Cited trademarks and rights belong to their respective owners; please respect each provider's terms of use.
Privacy & personal data
Without an account, OplynQ collects no personal data: the portfolio you import is processed in your browser and is not sent to our servers (only the asset symbols are queried to fetch their prices). No tracking cookies, no ads.
With an account, we collect the strict minimum needed to operate the service: your email address and chosen name — or your Google identity if you use Google sign-in — for performance of the contract; the portfolio you choose to save, your conversations with the copilot, and your feedback, to deliver the features. This data is never sold or shared for advertising, and is kept only while the account exists.
Your rights are exercisable directly from the Settings page: export all your data as JSON (portability), change your password, and permanently delete your account and all its data (immediate erasure). For any other request (access, rectification, objection), write to contact@oplynq.com.
Technical processors (hosting and operation only): Supabase (database, EU — Frankfurt), Render (API, EU), Vercel (site), Resend (account emails), Google (only if you choose Google sign-in), DeepInfra (generating the copilot's answers — receives your questions and your portfolio composition, never your raw statement), Stripe (subscription payments), and — only if you enable automatic sync — SnapTrade (Passiv Inc., Canada): your broker credentials are entered directly with SnapTrade (never passed to OplynQ) and we only receive your positions, balances and transactions, read-only. Disconnecting a broker or deleting your account ends this access. Technical observability (Sentry) is configured without personal data (send_default_pii = False). Some of these providers may process data outside the European Union, under appropriate safeguards.
